Readback Rush
A downloadable game for Windows
Every Clearance Counts
Take the frequency in Readback Rush, a voice-controlled air traffic control game with fun arcade graphics and twelve real-world airport layouts. Guide departures from the ramp to the sky, bring arrivals safely back to their gates, and keep traffic moving as your workload grows.
The game is lightweight and designed for a wide range of Windows PCs, Readback Rush keeps the focus on smooth and fun gameplay without demanding high-end hardware.
Speak your clearances as ground control, tower, or approach/departure and hear pilots read back your clearances and watch aircraft respond.
- Ground: Route aircraft along taxiways, manage runway crossings, and guide arrivals to their parking spots.
- Tower: Sequence arrivals and departures, issue landing and takeoff clearances, and keep runways safe.
- Approach: Assign headings, altitudes, and speeds to bring aircraft onto final approach and guide departures out of your airspace.
Switch between the airport map and radar scope as you work. Flight strips and radio transcripts help you follow the action. Take one position or work the job alone!
Start with the guided Burbank tutorial, then challenge yourself across twelve airports:
- Hollywood Burbank — KBUR
- San Diego International — KSAN
- Jacksonville International — KJAX
- Milwaukee Mitchell International — KMKE
- Sacramento International — KSMF
- Boston Logan International — KBOS
- Denver International — KDEN
- Dallas/Fort Worth International — KDFW
- Chicago O’Hare International — KORD
- Salt Lake City International — KSLC
- San Francisco International — KSFO
- Ronald Reagan Washington National — KDCA
Each airport brings a different challenge, from Burbank’s crossing runways to Chicago’s multiple ground and tower frequencies, and Regan's river approach.
Play with friends
Host a shared session and divide the work among your crew. One friend can manage Ground, another Tower, and another Approach—or split individual frequencies at larger airports. You all control the same live traffic, handing aircraft between your positions.
Sessions support local-network play with automatic discovery. Friends elsewhere can connect using a reachable host address, such as through Tailscale or a configured forwarded port. Each player needs their own Windows computer and game installation.
Build your score, beat your airport bests, and track successful arrivals and departures across Ground, Tower, and Approach.
